I don't know who this is cause it's late and it's been a very long day.
I know JW is in deep trouble when Patti see's this.
A couple of days ago while talking to John Gerits about his WOG I said if you have any photos I would appreciate whatever you
can contribute for the website, after the winter break we need a kick start, so he did. I don't know what I have done to JG in the
past, whatever it was it must have been bad because he sent about forty plus emails with three or four photos per email.
He said "I'll just have to tidy a couple up and add a bit of info about each shot". I thought this is great, just what I need as I have
my system set up primarily for photography to fully automate all those conversion tasks I have to perform before
uploading to the website. Unfortunately, and JG was totally unaware of this, the use of yellow text within the image spelt
disaster for my auto processing. I was determined to put all the photos up, as promised, but it all had to be done manually,
so a very late evening ensued, another 2am bedtime and no Tour de France either.
This morning when the birds started to sing and JG was waiting to 'be served breakfast', gee he gets it easy at his place, he
called and got me up earlier than intended. "Maaaate the stuff looks great, thanks", I'm thinking I can do with this like a hole
in the head, but I listened as the webmaster should because I am also a news hunter, and, very soon it all got interesting.
I am certain he wanted to cause me pain deliberately, but that aside I found a very dedicated and hard working individual
that has lots of good ideas that he puts into practice when conducting his events, so thanks for the 'chat' JG.
Without question I am sure that more than a few of his ideas will be up for consideration by the NSW executive at our
next meeting, they came up in general discussion and I grabbed them. They should be included within the 'new' website
structure and they will go a long way towards getting the message out there about slow play, in particular.
