Progress Report - 'new' Website

Well that didn't help much at all but the show goes on unabated!

Website security is an ongoing process and is second to none here as we pay special
attention to detail, the larger majority  rely on the fact that very few intruders will pay
any attention to their website, and, in the main that is true. However I fully understand
the importance for vigilance here in order to protect details of our fellow 'vets' and
that has been attended to, so have no fear guys.

In a discussion I had with John Dixon (Dubbo) many months ago I enquired as to the
useage of a 'local webpage' that could be used for just about anything such as local
events, news and maybe a couple of photographs of local interest, and maybe getting
  a message to a hard to contact organising committee member and he gave it the thumbs
up, we have prevailed and it's all working.

Sponsorship issues have been addressed and now we are working out how to get the
appropriate messages out there for local sponsors in WOG events, and, to give them
an opportunity to get more involved with the statewide organisation. Currently those
sponsors have had to rely entirely on me to to get their message out there, which in
turn created huge workloads, the new setup will lighten that load considerably.

While we are on the subject gentlemen this website is for news and information for
veteran golfers, we use email and we have had five years to get used to it, so how
about a little more co-operation in getting the results to the webmaster so the
rest of the 'vets' that regularly visit your events can see what is happening, please!
