Why do they do this?

Just When I think it's Safe and another WOG is Over
It's always good to hear good news about the way in which our travelling 'vets' are catered
for at our weeks of golf by the various committees and tournament directors. Unfortunately I
just do not have the time to chase up those feel good stories that make places and events
'special' or why it is that our 'vets' favour one mode of travel over another.
Here is how Mudgee Valley Tourist Park keeps their 'vets' under some form of control while
resident on their grounds. For the last five years they have been running a 'pitching competition'
on a hastily manicured 'green' within the grounds and they compete for the honour of having their
name inscribed on the Perpetual Trophy. You gotta believe it, they play golf all week and for
some entertainment back at the park they do this.
To cap it all off the hosts put on a BBQ (about 60 took part this year) for the competitors
when the trophy is presented and Anette Worth was the proud winner this year. Bill & 'Sally
are the hosts who will now be known much farther afield via this little update.

Col Darley NSWVGA Councillor has taken ownership of thios spectacular event
it would appear - I wonder if he actually had a go!
Good on you Bill & Sally I've had lots of good feedback, and, I am heading out your way soon!!
