SAND GREENS CHAMPIONSHIP 2008 at MANILLA

Manilla as avenue for this event was originally proposed by Michael Sykes, A good thought Mike.

The tournalilent was directed by Len Condell, President of Manilla Vets, WeI done. Ian and Terry processed the cards and produced the results, a great effort. Breakfast bacon and eggs was produced by the "lads" on the bbq while the ladies made the toast Morning tea, cakes and the lunches were prepare-d by t.lte ladies, a magnificent effort. (A highlight of these country clubs).

The course was in immaculate condition. Green Grass on the fairways and rough with excellent sand greens, As the course is maintaine-d by voluntary labour congratulations to all concerned

The sand green championships are contested by a relatively small, highly competitive group of players. 58 players from 14 clubs travelled to Manilla. A great bunch of people, thanks for your support.

The presentation at the end of the day was well nm by Len with assistance from Mike. Appropriate words were spoken by those concerned. Overall a great weekend of golf.
