Weather during the week was great. however, eight inches of rain on the Friday and Saturday preceding the week made the course very wet. Some holes had to be shortened and areas roped off. The green staff made an excellent effort to present the course in good playing condition with considerable improvement as the we.ek progressed.
130 players representing 35 clubs participated during the week.
John Ducloss and Mal Flannery ably assisted by their wives, Gladys and Denise managed the organisation very well and to all those who c-ontributed to the suc-cess of this week of golf, congratulations . Morning tea provided by the ladies each day was greatly appreciated by the players. Sue in the halfway house, another sterling effort. Thanks to Toronto Club for making the course, the clubhouse and staff available.
A Presentation dinner at Toronto Workers Club was an enjoyable evening. An
excellent dinner, a very efficient presentation in pleasant surroundings was very good.
