GRASS ROOTS OPEN DAY @ YENDA NSW
\nForty-four golfers played Yenda Golf Course today 18th November 2025.
\nGolfers travelled from Leeton, Narrandera, Griffith, Ganmain and the local Yenda club. There are twelve holes but eighteen tee places. The greens were in very good condition, and the fairways are very wide and long and well maintained by a small band of volunteers. Very little rain has fallen this past year so a credit to the workers.
\nA BBQ lunch and salads were supplied to the players whilst enjoying the camaraderie amongst the Veteran golfers.
\nNSWVGA Councillor Penny Hudson visiting from Leeton thanked the Organizer and assistants and spoke to the players about the Grass Roots Program and how it has evolved this year and benefited Clubs such as Yenda. Narrandera have had their Open Day and Leeton will be holding their day on Mon 8th December. Applications are made through the Group Secretary to the NSWVGA.
\nThe Team results<\/strong> were:\u00a0 Leeton 29.3, Yenda 29.2, Griffith 28.7 and Narrandera 27.6.
