{"id":2226,"date":"2020-07-19T10:34:21","date_gmt":"2020-07-19T00:34:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nswvga.com.au\/cms\/?p=2226"},"modified":"2024-03-10T15:47:54","modified_gmt":"2024-03-10T04:47:54","slug":"young-cherry-festival-veterans-week-of-golf-2020-is-on","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nswvga.com.au\/cms\/2020\/07\/young-cherry-festival-veterans-week-of-golf-2020-is-on\/","title":{"rendered":"Young Cherry Festival Veterans Week of Golf 2020 is ON"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Entries are now open for the 23rd Young Cherry Festival Veterans week of golf.<\/p>\n<p>The week is held annually in the third week in November commencing on Sunday 15th and is definitely on this year.<\/p>\n<p>Festivities begin on Sunday afternoon with a welcoming wine tasting and social get together.<\/p>\n<p>Interest is high with a good number of enquiries being received from intending first time visitors.<\/p>\n<p>It is about 4.5 months till hit off time and entries are NOW open.<\/p>\n<p>The entry form\/program is available on the Young Golf Club website or on the 2020 Program page of this website and maybe printed off or emailed.<\/p>\n<p>Alternatively, a phone call (0458 933 248) or email (everlast86@bigpond.com) to Craig Watson will ensure you receive the form in the mail. All players from last year can expect to receive their entry form in the post shortly.<\/p>\n<p>The amalgamation of the Golf Club and the Young Services club has a dynamic committee in place to ensure all attending will have a most enjoyable week of golf and friendship.<\/p>\n<p>Recent playing restrictions has seen the local volunteers doing great work on new cartways and hazards whilst the green staff has continued to work diligently on course maintenance.<\/p>\n<p>Indications from local cherry growers say that the district will enjoy a good cherry harvest and there will be plenty of orchards to visit and \u2018pick your own\u2019 cherries or purchase at farm gate price.<\/p>\n<p>The entry fee of $140.00 per player is all inclusive including the Friday night presentation dinner. Players wishing to visit briefly to play one or two days will be welcome.
