MACLEAN WEEK OF GOLF Date 17th-21st July 2023<\/strong>
\nTournament Director:<\/strong> Geoff Grayson and his team
\nCourse:<\/strong> Grounds staff to be congratulated on the excellent course condition. Easy walking, not so easy playing.
\nRegistration:<\/strong> A special treat on Sunday afternoon with local Piper Alistair Smith giving us a Scottish tribute on the bagpipes. Enjoyed by all.
\nTournament Director Geoff welcomed a large attendance of Veteran golfers and outlined the rules on the course for the week.\u00a0 Each player given a golf ball and a coffee voucher. A sausage sizzle was provided.
\nHospitality:<\/strong> Morning tea was provided each day along with mandarins. Lunches also provided each day, and they included fresh wraps, pies, sausage rolls, sausages on bread and hot dogs. Plenty of variety. Volunteers assisted with parking, spotting, lunches, etc Raffles were conducted each day.
\nWeather:<\/strong> Perfect all week.
\nPlayer Numbers:<\/strong> 44 clubs represented. 71 men and 42 women. Men 3 grades. Ladies 2 grades. No local players played.
\nPresentation Lunch:<\/strong> A large roast meal of beef, pork or chicken enjoyed by all at the Maclean Bowling Club. <\/p>\n
