Bert Adams is really one of a kind! He celebrated his 100th birthday last Friday, and for most of those years he was a member of the Wagga City Golf Club … 65 years in fact!<\/p>\n

We had a wonderful celebration for him today, after a 9 hole stableford comp. He’s still playing once or twice a week in our 9-hole Vets comps and goes very well thankyou … picking up vouchers on a regular basis 😉👍.<\/p>\n

Bert loves to talk about his golfing ‘career\u2019, this being the only sport he’s ever played! (I’m pretty sure he’s been playing the game for 90 years or so!)<\/p>\n

Away from golf, Bert is a highly-respected World War 2 Veteran, who prides himself in still marching in our Anzac Day parades.<\/p>\n

He told me his goal has always been to March in this year’s parade at the age of 100 … we’re all looking forward to being there to cheer him on!<\/p>\n
