FORBES 2024 WEEK OF GOLF
\n28TH APRIL TO 3RD MAY 2024
\n<\/strong>(Report by Penny Hudson NSWVGA Executive)
\nForbes Week of Golf hospitality is first class. Very well organized for a small committee of volunteers.
\nThe Veterans committee were always on hand to offer assistance and friendship.
\nThe golf course is in great condition and the perfect weather conditions ensured we enjoyed each day.
\nSunday Registration was well attended by visitors and committee members. The course procedures for the week were outlined. A name tag with all times and tee starts was provided. A sausage sizzle was provided to enjoy with beverages and catchups.
\nA freshly cooked hot lunch was prepared by volunteers each day as were the homemade slices and treats with coffee and tea before our games.
\nEighty starters from eighteen different golf clubs participated in the week.
\nA generous two course meal was enjoyed at the Presentation dinner on Thursday night to recognise the daily and 36 hole winners. The NSWVGA shields were contested on the Friday.
