Port Stephens Accommodation Week of Golf 2024<\/strong>
\nPort Stephens Accommodation Week of Golf has come and gone for another year and 136 players from 46 clubs from across Australia gathered in Port Stephens for a great week of golf and friendship. We had players from Victoria, Queensland and New Zealand as well as all over NSW. They enjoyed 4 days of sunshine and perfect golfing weather while playing on 4 top rated golf courses.
\nDAY 1:<\/strong> at Pacific Dunes good scores were had right across all grades but Division 1 lady Carmel Fifield from the Coast GC in Sydney led the field with 40pts while in the men Alan Melnik of Everglades GC led out with 41pts.
\nDAY 2:<\/strong> at Horizons Resort saw a different lady from the Coast GC, Judy Barrett have the best score over the field with 37pts and for the men it was John Hurley from Pacific Dunes in Div 3 who shone thru with 36pts.
\nDAY 3:<\/strong> after the rest day the scores at Nelson Bay were dialled up a notch with some exceptional scores recorded, the best of the ladies was Jacqueline Tooth from Dubbo GC with an incredible 47pts and in the men John McDonald from Tanilba Bay GC recorded 44pts from Div 3.
\nAt the conclusion of Day 3 the Presentation Dinner<\/strong> was held at Nelson Bay GC with 130 players and officials.
\nAt the Presentation Dinner all previous day winners were presented with their prizes followed by a brief word from NSWVGA Representative Steve Mitchell<\/strong> who then presented the NSWVGA Awards.<\/strong>

These Presentations signalled the end of the nights proceedings and so it was onto Tanilba Bay on the Friday morning for a single medley stableford with a much smaller field of 86 players enjoying yet another sunny day to end the week.
