{"id":8890,"date":"2024-11-18T20:23:51","date_gmt":"2024-11-18T09:23:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nswvga.com.au\/cms\/?p=8890"},"modified":"2024-11-18T20:23:51","modified_gmt":"2024-11-18T09:23:51","slug":"southern-highlands-2024-week-of-golf","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nswvga.com.au\/cms\/2024\/11\/southern-highlands-2024-week-of-golf\/","title":{"rendered":"Southern Highlands 2024 Week of Golf"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS VETERAN GOLFERS ASSOCIATION <\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>34th annual WEEK OF GOLF<br \/>\n&#8211; NOVEMBER 11TH TO 15TH 2024<\/strong> <\/p>\n<p>The SHVGA 34th week of golf had on average 110 players each day playing some very good golf at four very well presented courses. <br \/>\nThroughout registration a number of players had to cancel for various reasons such as health or unplanned surgeries and were reimbursed their entry fees in full.<br \/>\nIn all 112 players registered from 45 individual golf clubs from Melville Glades in Western Australia, Port Arlington in Victoria to Gainsborough Greens in Queensland, with NSW and the ACT also well represented. <br \/>\nThe weather was kind, with the rain hold off for golf days and producing some periods of sun at times and not too much wind. <br \/>\nMy apologies to those who had to be moved around to satisfy a high demand for golf carts, but it all worked out in the end with everyone catered for. <br \/>\nWe have a great committee in the Southern Highlands and I would like to thank them for the fantastic work they put into the lead up and during the event.<br \/>\nI would also like to thank the staff at Highlands, Bowral, Moss Vale and Mount Broughton golf clubs who went the extra mile to help us in so many ways. <\/p>\n<p>Dennis Harelle <br \/>\n(Tournament Director)<\/p>\n<p><strong>TOURNAMENT DETAILS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The tournament was conducted as a three day event with a NSWVGA SHIELD for both men and ladies as the ultimate prizes. Set in the heart of Bowral conditions were good, a little overcast with the greens a little slower and cooler temperatures allowing for some good scores. Two eagles were recorded on the day.
