The Course Seeing as how the week was in doubt as late as the Saturday before the commencement day due to continued rain on the north coast, the call to go ahead with the week proved correct. Although wet in parts at the start of the week the course dried out as the week progressed and on Friday presented as the Ballina we know. Congratulations to the green staff on a tremendous effort.
The Week
Firstly, thank you to Ballina Golf Club for the use of their golf course and a big thank you to those veterans who have supported this event.
Jim Poulos and his hard-working committee provided a great week of golf. 
Captain David Maxwell who stood in for John Swan, President of the Vets committee, and he must also be congratulated on his efforts.
The daily events went well and draws at the end of the days play were well received by all. A big thank you to the sponsors who provided vouchers to many businesses around town.
The halfway Café proved very popular both before hit off and during the round. As usual the camaraderie after the game was great to see.
Presentation Night on the Thursday supported by an excellent meal went well. 
All in all, a great week provided by a very committed committee.

There were two, yes two, holes in one this week and both on the same hole.
On Tuesday Brad Fifield aced the 9th and won a 3 litre bottle of scotch.
On Thursday Bill McGregor aced the same hole, but alas the hole in one prize was taken.
