Port Macquarie 2 day Event
The meet and greet on Sunday afternoon was well support by both local players and visitors. Each player received a goodie bag with a pen writing pad and Literature on nutrition for the elderly. The nibbles put on by the club was well appreciated by all.
The tournament was well represented by both Male and Female players, with clubs been represented from Albury to clubs in Queensland. 182 players in total. So a huge field.
Monday morning arrived and the weather was overcast with light showers. The course was in really good condition regardless of the amount of rain that they had received on Saturday and Sunday. They did have preferred lies through the green.
Presentation went well Tuesday pm after the golf. For each trophy won, there was one for the local and one for the visiting player. So the only time locals and visitors played against each other for the same prize was the NSWVGA Trophy. This went down with the visitors extremely well.
NSWVGA Ladies Shield was won by Jeanice Gibson from Breakers runner up was Anne Couts from Port Macquarie
