Mudgee Vets WoG report 2022.

Mudgee Veterans WoG was held from 12th to 16th of September with 170 golfers registering for the event.
The first two days were very pleasant weather and what was to be a rest day on the Wednesday became the 3rd day of competition when inclement forecast for the Thursday meant that day’s competition was bought forward a day. This required the co-operation of the veteran golfers, local golfers (normally it is the only day they are allowed on the course all week), the green staff & even local wine tour operators. The decision was vindicated when heavy rain fell on Thursday. The course superintendent suspended carts for the Friday 4BBB competition which was then changed to a 2BBB & Stapleford competition for those prepared to walk the course. Great co-operation all round.
There were over 75 players received prize vouchers (apart from any nearest the pin winners).
The NSW Veterans’ Men’s prizes were won by
• 1st Chris Burgess (Bonnie Doon)

• 2nd Allan Riches (Wollongong)
The NSW Veterans’ Ladies’ prizes were won by
• 1st Suzanne Stanley (Short Waters)

• 2nd Robyn Edwards (Port Kembla)
