MACLEAN WEEK OF GOLF Date 17th-21st July 2023
Tournament Director: Geoff Grayson and his team
Course: Grounds staff to be congratulated on the excellent course condition. Easy walking, not so easy playing.
Registration: A special treat on Sunday afternoon with local Piper Alistair Smith giving us a Scottish tribute on the bagpipes. Enjoyed by all.
Tournament Director Geoff welcomed a large attendance of Veteran golfers and outlined the rules on the course for the week.  Each player given a golf ball and a coffee voucher. A sausage sizzle was provided.
Hospitality: Morning tea was provided each day along with mandarins. Lunches also provided each day, and they included fresh wraps, pies, sausage rolls, sausages on bread and hot dogs. Plenty of variety. Volunteers assisted with parking, spotting, lunches, etc Raffles were conducted each day.
Weather: Perfect all week.
Player Numbers: 44 clubs represented. 71 men and 42 women. Men 3 grades. Ladies 2 grades. No local players played.
Presentation Lunch: A large roast meal of beef, pork or chicken enjoyed by all at the Maclean Bowling Club.

Long time supporters of Maclean Golf Club and Veterans Marlene and Graham Roberts were in attendance and many visitors were able to catch up with them.
Comments:  This tournament is a popular one each year.
