TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR AND VETS PRESIDENT: Grant Evans
A large Vets Committee as a backup to this week of Golf ensured it ran very smoothly. The Vets Vice President organized 70 volunteers on the courses for the week. In their high Vis shirts, they were much appreciated. Captain Ron Sammons marshalled the courses daily to ensure the large fields progressed well.
COURSE: Two very different courses but in good condition thanks to the Grounds Staff.
REGISTRATION: Well supported. Memberships checked. Finger food provided. Captain Ron outlined course conditions. Seating/tables for the Thursday dinner arranged.
WEATHER: Very comfortable temperatures each day.
PLAYER NUMBERS: 197 players representing 86 Clubs. Kiama had 18 players.
121 Men and 76 Ladies.
TUESDAY NIGHT: Genesis Representative Kate McDowell reinforced the importance of 50+ sunscreen and outlined what her company represented.
We were all treated to a plentiful dinner and the raffle with generous prizes.
One of the highlights the presentation by Judith Neck of the “Next to Last” awards. Kathy Weber’s excitement was so contagious and not as excited the male winner was gracious.
PRESENTATION DINNER: This was held on Thursday night to all winners for the week except for Friday. The dinner again was delicious and appreciated by all in attendance.

NSWVGA SHIELD WOMEN: Winner – Debbie Danielson 34 points 2nd Place – Irena MacDonald 33 points c/b 3rd Place – Lyn Baker 33 points c/b.
