Muree 2024 Week Of Golf
NSWVGA – Muree Vets’ week of golf – 10th – 14th June 2024
Our Muree VWOG committee, spotters, bunker rakers, starters and on course marshals/help, were eager to welcome our small, but super friendly field of 45 to our second vet’s week of golf.
They came from near and far – Ballina, Nelson Bay, Kew, Tully Park, Axedale (Vic), Richmond, Wauchope, Tocumwal, Cabramatta, The Ridge, Kurri Kurri, Camden, Singleton, Inverell, St Helens (Tas), Gilgandra and Muree.
Weather wise, we were blessed by the weather gods. With several weeks of heavy rain leading up to our event, the possibility of having to cancel was very real, but, other than the expected cold winter days, our players stayed dry, frozen, but dry.
Due to last minute cancellations, some grades were affected, so to ensure we worked within the NSWVGA guidelines, a few changes needed to be made to the grades – tweaked to ensure players didn’t miss out due to these changes.
