One interesting statistic provided by Annette was the age breakdown of players starting at 8/56-year-olds down to 4/81-year-olds 1/82, 1/83-, 3/84-, 1/85-, and 1/87-year-old.

Presentation: MC Andrew Dunkley welcomed guests and players and kept proceedings intact.
A full house for dinner and many of the local winners and players were present.
Menu: Fresh prawns, Bread roll, Roast beef and vegetables, Creamy chicken with mushrooms and sun-dried tomatoes, salads, Trifle, Chocolate Bavarian, fruit salad and ice cream. So much delicious food. Seconds if needed.
Guest Speaker was Dr Jodi Benton – Archaeologist and Director of Oz Ark Environment and Heritage Dubbo. Introduced the presentation with the question “What’s Archaeology got to do with golf – A few old fossils here tonight”. Jodi outlined her travels in her previous years out of Uni and at 21 years of age spending five years in Jordan. Met her now partner and he wanted to work with Dubbo Zoo. 23 years later they are still enjoying life and business in Dubbo. An interesting speaker.
Prizes were presented differently. All prize winners received their awards from NSWVGA Rep Penny and then proceeded to have a group photo of the winners. A couple of individual photos only for NSWVGA.
On behalf of NSWVGA, Rep Penny paid tribute to TD John Dixon for his outstanding commitment to Veteran Golf in NSW and NSWVGA. This was John’s last year as TD. John has ensured the long-term future of the Dubbo week of golf by establishing a system and personnel. Phil, John, Annette and a strong Vets Committee are very supportive of Vets golf in Dubbo.
Course: Dubbo course was in great condition. A few areas where work is being undertaken on the course. Preferred lies in general areas.
Jake O’Brien the Club Professional was a great asset to players with carts and help with the Miscore app.
