Griffith Week of Golf
Our week started with the welcome registration at the Griffith Leagues Club on Sunday 26th at 4.30pm. All players received their gift bags containing samples of local produce donated by our wonderful sponsors.
174 players, comprising 78 Ladies and 96 Men, 47 locals 126 visitors were split into 2 divisions for Ladies and 3 grades for Men.
As well as daily events we had 54 hole, 36 hole ( Tuesday and Thursday) in all grades plus the NSWVGA Shields over 36 holes (Monday and Tuesday) A total of 66 prizes for winners and runners up for the week. 8 NTP’s, 2 pro pins and 2 straightest drives were on offer each day.
The ladies were the standout performers with 36 totalling 100 points or more for the 3 days of singles. The men struggled in comparison with just 7 managing the 100 points or better for 3 days.

Our Player of the Tournament was Cheryl Crumpton from St Georges Basin with a total of 116 pts
The course was in perfect condition thanks to the 2 green keeping staff and the, too many to mention, volunteers who work to maintain the course.
A huge thank you to all our visitors who made the effort to travel and join in our week. We love hosting you for the week and look forward to seeing you again next year.
Our favourite charity, Bear Cottage, benefited from the Bear raffle, TV raffle and Sausage sizzle proceeds to the tune of just over $1800. Thank you all for your support of our event and Bear Cottage.
