Grassroots Prize Scheme

Grassroots Prize Scheme Description
In 2019, with the benefit of a small increase in the membership fee, the Association was able to introduce this Scheme to provide some opportunities for prizes to be made available for member competitions at the Club level.
The Scheme provides Clubs, with a minimum of 8 financial members of NSWVGA, an opportunity to add a $25 Voucher prize to its prize list each year, on the basis of One Voucher per 50 financial members [or part thereof]. [75 such members would attract Two such Vouchers, and so on]. The Vouchers are drawn locally on Pro-Shops or Retail Businesses according to local practice, as a way of feeding the value into the local economy.
Where Clubs do not play regular local Veteran competitions, the Vouchers are applied via regional Group competitions, with care to avoid domination of the prize awards by any one Club or a small number of Clubs.
Over 400 Vouchers are issued annually across the State at a cost in excess of $10,000
