Southern Highlands 2024 Week of Golf

SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS VETERAN GOLFERS ASSOCIATION
34th annual WEEK OF GOLF
– NOVEMBER 11TH TO 15TH 2024

The SHVGA 34th week of golf had on average 110 players each day playing some very good golf at four very well presented courses.
Throughout registration a number of players had to cancel for various reasons such as health or unplanned surgeries and were reimbursed their entry fees in full.
In all 112 players registered from 45 individual golf clubs from Melville Glades in Western Australia, Port Arlington in Victoria to Gainsborough Greens in Queensland, with NSW and the ACT also well represented.
The weather was kind, with the rain hold off for golf days and producing some periods of sun at times and not too much wind.
My apologies to those who had to be moved around to satisfy a high demand for golf carts, but it all worked out in the end with everyone catered for.
We have a great committee in the Southern Highlands and I would like to thank them for the fantastic work they put into the lead up and during the event.
I would also like to thank the staff at Highlands, Bowral, Moss Vale and Mount Broughton golf clubs who went the extra mile to help us in so many ways.

(Tournament Director)

TOURNAMENT DETAILS

The tournament was conducted as a three day event with a NSWVGA SHIELD for both men and ladies as the ultimate prizes. As a result and in accordance with NSWVGA policy No.2 re the conduct of WOG events and in the spirit of sharing good fortune, participants could only win one major prize during the event and in cases where they won more than one prize were awarded the one of higher value.
