FORBES WEEK OF GOLF 5TH TO 9TH MAY 2025
Tournament Director: Lyn Roberts
assisted by Beryl Roberts.
Course: Great condition, good run and preferred lies. Greens were in perfect condition.
Registration: Well supported by visitors. Welcome by Vets President Peter Barnes outlining the procedures for the week. Sausages and salad provided to players.

A small gift bag and name badge with tee times given to each player. Information on Forbes also available.
Weather: Picture perfect all week. Great playing conditions.
Player Numbers: Thirty-six clubs represented. 104 starters. 32 ladies and 72 men.
Presentation Dinner: This was held Thursday night as Friday was the stand alone NSWVGA Shield Day.
Held at the Forbes Golf club/Hotel. Again well supported. A plentiful two course meal served. Prizes up to Thursday presented.
Special Presentation: A special presentation was made by NSWVGA President John Daley to Lyn and Beryl Roberts. This was a Certificate of Appreciation to joint recipients Lyn and Beryl Roberts for over 21 years’ service to NSWVGA in the Forbes area.

NSWVGA committee members present were John Daley, Jim Shadlow, John Dixon, Catherine Pautsch and Penny Hudson.
This week was very well organized by the Tournament Directors and committee Peter Barnes, Alan Rees and other volunteers. Roz Edwards from Bogan Gate organized and provided home cooked slices for morning teas before 9.30 tee offs. A bbq lunch and salad was available each day for a small charge.
